Job Title Academic Advising Work Study (Federal Work Study)
Job Description

This position will be located on the Old Charlotte Highway Campus working under the direction of the Director of Advising. The student will assist with duties as assigned by the Director of Advising.

Essential Duties Summary

- Greet students when they walk into the Advising Center
- Schedule and confirm advising appointments for students
- Provide students with advising related materials
- Assist student with GO!
- Design Advising Center documents using provided information
- Assist with scheduling program and department workshops hosted in Center
- Track “walk-in” Advising Center patrons
- Keep Advising Center materials replenished
- Answer questions regarding Center and provide referral to other resources on campus

Required Qualifications

- Professional attitude and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task
- Proactive behavior when it comes to staying busy
- Familiarity with SPCC structure and resources

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Publisher
